Arsenal great Jack Wilshere received a significant punishment after leading anti-Tottenham chants during a trophy parade.
On Sunday, the Gunners had their first trophy parade since 2015, with over 500,000 fans lining the streets of Islington to salute their Premier League-winning heroes.
The win marked the club’s first prize since the 2020 FA Cup. Because it took place during the epidemic, the final versus Chelsea was held behind closed doors, with no trophy procession.

As a result, the preceding celebration took place 11 years earlier, when Arsenal won the FA Cup for the second time in a row.
According to the Mirror, the event was tarnished by controversy, with Wilshere getting in trouble for an obscene chant mocking the club’s fierce north London rivalry.
Wilshere Mocks Tottenham
Wilshere grabbed the microphone and asked the audience, “I have one question, and one question only: what do we think of Tottenham?”
He continued, “And what do we think of s**t?” before joining in as the audience chanted back, “We hate Tottenham and we hate Tottenham, we are the Tottenham haters.”
The microphone was then snatched from Wilshere, only for him to reclaim it and announce, “We have one more.”
He then chanted: “My old man said be a Tottenham fan…” which included expletives regarding Spurs when performed in its entirety.
Arsenal quickly apologized during their internal media coverage of the incident, and Wilshere, then 23, was addressed by club executives. Former Arsenal striker Niall Quinn accused him of “overstepping the mark”.
The FA agreed, as they fined the midfielder £40,000 and gave him a warning. They said: “After admitting to a charge of misconduct, Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere was fined £40,000 and harshly cautioned about his future behavior.
