Arsenal Fan Arrested For Unacceptable Behaviour Towards Chelsea Star

An Arsenal supporter has been detained for shining a laser in Mykhailo Mudryk’s face during Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea.

Mudryk was targeted on his first game at Emirates Stadium after rejecting a move to Arsenal to sign with Chelsea for £88.5 million in January.

The Ukraine international was booed as he entered the field as a second-half substitution. And for the majority of his appearance, a green light flashed on his face.

The event was deemed “dangerous and totally unacceptable” by Arsenal. Who also stated that an arrest was made following the game.

What Did Arsenal Say About The Incident?

An Arsenal statement as reported by Evening Standard said: “An arrest has been made following the use of a laser during last night’s match. This behaviour is dangerous and totally unacceptable, and we will fully support the police with their enquiries.

“We will obviously take the strongest possible action.”

Before Chelsea blew up their deal, Mudryk appeared to be on his way to Arsenal.

After replacing Enzo Fernandez, the 22-year-old, who has had difficulty since joining Chelsea, had a reasonably quiet 19 minutes. As the Blues suffered their sixth straight loss under interim manager Frank Lampard.

Arsenal ran out winners at the Emirates stadium. Martin Odegaard’s first half brace and Gabriel Jesus’ strike from the 18-yard box secured the win for the Gunners. Although, Noni Madueke pulled one back for the Blues, but it was just a mere consolation in the end.

The win took Arsenal back to the top of the pile, albeit they have played two more games than their nearest title challenger, Manchester City.

Chelsea on the other hand are currently languishing in the 12th position with 39 points garnered so far. They are nine points above the relegation zone.
