Andre Onana Told To ‘Sew His Arms On’ After Bayern Humbling By Pundit

Manchester United may have lost to Bayern Munich by one goal, but Erik ten Hag’s players have been strongly criticized for their performance.

Despite making the game 4-3 in the last minutes, Manchester United’s players did not cover themselves in glory throughout the 90 minutes of the Champions League group game.

After a promising start for Manchester United, Bayern turned the game around with Leroy Sane’s goal, which should have been easily saved, sneaking past Andre Onana to make it 1-0. In his post-match interview, the former Inter Milan player accepted responsibility for the Red Devils’ defeat, saying he ‘let the team down’ with his gaffe.

However, talkSPORT’s Jamie O’Hara was less than sympathetic when assessing Onana’s performance, reminding fans of the goalkeeper’s furious reaction to teammate Harry Maguire’s loose back pass in pre-season.

“Onana annoys me,” he told the Sports Bar. “I remember in pre-season when he first rocked and he made a point about digging out Harry Maguire.

“Do you remember he ran out [at him] and we were all going ‘oh, he slaughtered him’, giving it all that and saying Onana was going to be a leader.

“He needs to sew his arms on! It’s a massive mistake. You think, well hold on a minute, you’re digging out players, rushing out the box like ‘what you doing?’ That used to wind me up so much.

“Shut up, get the ball out of the net and do your job!”
