Cole Palmer has finally addressed his omission from England’s World Cup squad, delivering the laid-back response fans have come to expect from the Chelsea playmaker.
The 24-year-old was one of the most notable absentees from Thomas Tuchel’s 26-man squad, alongside the likes of Phil Foden and Harry Maguire.

While his exclusion sparked plenty of debate, Palmer has revealed he is not dwelling on the disappointment.
After a difficult campaign disrupted by a persistent groin issue, Palmer admitted the season had not gone as planned but insisted he has accepted the decision and is focused on enjoying his summer break.
Palmer Remains Relaxed Despite Growing Debate
Speaking about the snub, Palmer said he is not upset by something he cannot control and hopes England go all the way in the tournament.
He also explained that spending time with friends outside football helps him stay grounded and maintain perspective.
The former Manchester City attacker is currently enjoying time off in Ibiza and says he will watch England’s matches if he is free, although his priority is recovering after several demanding seasons, reports Metro.
Meanwhile, England’s goalless draw against Ghana has reignited discussion about Palmer’s absence. Former England captain Wayne Rooney suggested creative players like Palmer could help unlock stubborn opponents, while Jamie Carragher argued that matches like the Ghana stalemate highlight the value of having a player capable of operating in tight spaces.
As England prepare for their next World Cup fixture, calls for Palmer’s inclusion may continue, but the Chelsea star appears content to take a step back, recharge, and prepare for the new season.
