Newcastle United defender, Tino Livramento has reportedly withdrawn from the World Cup, handing England a blow ahead of their opening match.
England will play their first group match against Croatia on Wednesday night as they complete their World Cup preparations.
According to The Telegraph, Livramento is out of the World Cup, handing a blow to the Three Lions ahead of their opener.
Livramento’s ability to play full-back on either wing made him a vital team member even if he was unlikely to start for England during the tournament.
Chalobah To Replace Livramento
The report also stated that Livramento will have to leave England’s camp and return home due to a hamstring problem. Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah will take his place.
The report states: “England manager Thomas Tuchel is expected to replace Livramento, with Trevoh Chalobah, the Chelsea defender, thought to be among the options to come in as a last-minute replacement.
“Tuchel can replace Livramento 24 hours before England’s first game against Croatia in Group L on Wednesday.”

Reputable reporter, David Ornstein later corroborated this story stating that Chalobah would replace the 23-year-old in the England squad.
Livramento would be better replaced by Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall, and former Manchester United defender Paul Parker believes the left-back ought to be included in England’s World Cup team.
“Lewis Hall is a very, very good left back,” Parker said.
“I’ve never seen him outbattled – he’s tenacious and he’s tough. He’s also very talented on the ball because of when he played in midfield during his Chelsea academy days.
“He’s just as comfortable getting forward as he is in defence, and I think he should be the first-choice pick for Thomas Tuchel in this England squad at left back.”
