Former footballer Abel Stiven Carabali has reportedly been arrested after a horrifying murder investigation shocked authorities in Chile recently this month.
Police allege the 30-year-old murdered a friend before transporting and burning the victim’s body in a remote area near Curacavi afterward.

Firefighters initially discovered the charred remains while responding to a grass fire on April 12 in the Chilean countryside there recently.
Investigators reportedly believe the victim may have been tortured before being killed, although authorities continue examining evidence surrounding the disturbing incident carefully.
CCTV Footage Reportedly Played Key Role In Investigation
Following weeks of investigation, police arrested Carabali in Santiago after reviewing CCTV footage connected to the shocking murder case recently overall.
Reports claim cameras captured the former footballer leaving a parking area while pushing a trolley allegedly containing the victim’s body inside there.
Authorities further allege another Colombian man, reportedly working as a taxi driver, helped transport the remains away from Santiago afterward recently too.
Investigators believe the suspects placed the body inside a vehicle before travelling toward Curacavi, where prosecutors say they burned the remains there, reports Daily star.
Reports also claim a Bible was discovered beside the victim’s body, adding another disturbing element to the already shocking investigation currently underway there.
Police and prosecutors continue gathering evidence while both suspects remain under investigation regarding the alleged murder and destruction of evidence in Chile.
