Casemiro CountryMan Says Yes To Man United To Replace Him

Manchester United are pushing strongly to sign Ederson from Atalanta during the summer transfer window after positive discussions over a potential move.

The 26-year-old midfielder has reportedly approved the idea of joining Manchester United if formal negotiations progress further in the coming weeks.

United are understood to have outlined personal terms for the Brazilian, including a long-term contract running until 2031 with significant financial incentives.

Reports suggest the proposed deal would earn Ederson around €5 million annually, alongside performance-related bonuses included within the agreement package.

The Brazilian has emerged as a major midfield target as United continue planning a squad rebuild under the INEOS leadership structure this summer.

Man Utd Intensify Midfield Search

Manchester United view Ederson as an ideal addition because of his physicality, ball-winning qualities and ability to control matches from central midfield positions.

Club officials believe the Atalanta star could eventually replace Casemiro while forming a strong partnership alongside Kobbie Mainoo in midfield.

Atalanta are reportedly demanding around €45 million (£38.9m) for the midfielder, although bonuses could increase the total package significantly higher.

United maintain a strong relationship with the Serie A club after previously signing Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo from the Italian side.

Although Ederson is not considered United’s only midfield option, active talks with his representatives have intensified during recent days ahead of summer business.

Arsenal and Atletico Madrid also monitored the Brazilian, but United currently appear favourites to secure his signature, reports Team Talk.

With Ederson’s contract expiring in 2027, Atalanta may consider selling now rather than risk losing transfer value during future negotiations.
