Vinicius Jr. is in unfamiliar territory at Real Madrid this season, under manager Xabi Alonso.
The 24-year-old forward, who was a regular starter under Carlo Ancelotti, has seen his situation shift this season.
Vinicius has been left out of the starting lineup twice in six games this season and has not played the full ninety minutes in any of them.
Alonso’s decision to replace him after 70 minutes against Espanyol this weekend left him bewildered and unhappy, with the player displaying indications of dissatisfaction as he exited the ground.
Vinicius might consider January exit
According to journalist Marcos Benito of El Chiringuito TV, Vinicius might leave Real Madrid as early as the January transfer window if his situation under Xabi Alonso does not improve.

Vinicius’ Real Madrid contract expires in 2027. There were talks about a new contract, and an agreement was thought to be close, when the negotiations broke down following the most recent meeting just after the FIFA Club World Cup.
Since then, the Brazilian scenario has further added to the concerns surrounding the finalization of the renewal deal.
According to reports, Vinicius is considering leaving the club midway through the season if things do not change.
Saudi Arabia, for one, has constantly been monitoring the attacker’s condition and may be willing to pay a high price to obtain his signing if the occasion arises.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, is unlikely to allow the player to leave in January and may instead appeal to the player’s €1 billion release clause if any suitors approach.
