FC Barcelona is actively seeking to sign numerous players ahead of the new season, including Joan Garcia, Wojciech Szczesny, Marcus Rashford, and Gerard Martin.
While the absence of Marc-Andre ter Stegen due to injury was initially thought to be the most obvious solution, the club is also considering other options in the face of continued issues.
Ter Stegen’s medical absence could allow Barcelona to increase its compensation margin under La Liga rules by reallocating a portion of his earnings. However, because the goalkeeper refused to sign off on the necessary documentation, the team no longer relies primarily on that alternative.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is pursuing a bigger approach that includes three important funding instruments. These include the salary space generated by recent player departures, which has freed up over 21 million euros.
In addition, the club is counting on earnings from a new sponsorship deal with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

A third source of finance is also pending approval. It includes a €100 million capital injection with the sale of 475 VIP tickets at the rebuilt Spotify Camp Nou. This operation still needs to be validated by external auditors and La Liga before it can be implemented.
However, after completing their previous preseason tour with a victory over Daegu FC, Barcelona must move quickly. There isn’t much time left until the official season begins, and the Catalan club cannot afford to repeat last season’s Dani Olmo catastrophe.
