West Ham have recruited Chelsea defender Axel Disasi on loan until the end of the season to assist the club improve its defensive record.
The 27-year-old appeared in 44 games across all competitions for Chelsea in his debut season in 2023-24, but has not played a single game in his third season.
Speaking about his arrival Disasi said: “I’m very happy to be here, to have this opportunity,” he told West Ham’s club media. “I’m just ready to fight and to play games.”

Disasi joined Aston Villa on loan during the winter transfer window last season and made ten appearances for Unai Emery’s side.
He went further: “Everyone knows my situation in the last few months, so I just want to get back on the field, feel the sensation of games and help the team, he added. “The club has provided me the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities on the pitch. I chatted with everyone here, and I believe they genuinely wanted me, which is why I’m here now.
“This is an exciting challenge. We understand that the club is not where it should be, but I’m here to aid the team and contribute anything I can to help us reach our goal.”
