‘We Can Sign Haaland’- Barcelona Chief Makes Bold Statement Ahead Of Summer Transfer Window

Barcelona’s financial troubles have been well documented, but the Spanish club is prepared to spend heavily this summer in order to improve their position for the following season.

With Robert Lewandowski in the final months of his contract, Hansi Flick will prioritize the forward area at the end of the season.

The Nou Camp outfit has been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, and according to one Barcelona board member, he and Manchester City player Erling Haaland are both available this summer.

Joan Soler, a long-time board member under club president Joan Laporta, argues that neither player’s arrival will have an impact on Barcelona’s finances.

Soler told Cadena Ser that they could sign players such as Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland. These transfers will pay for itself in five years, and Barcelona’s finances are ready.

Soler emphasized the importance of caution when committing to Barca’s salary structure. We have established a boundary for ourselves, and we will not surpass it. We need to sign players at market prices while keeping an eye on our compensation structure.

The second half of his statements are consistent with Sport’s story that Barcelona is looking at one of Haaland’s City teammates as a cheaper option this summer.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Alvarez is their dream signing, but Atletico’s £130.8 million valuation is a sticking barrier.

As a result, they are looking at City forward Omar Marmoush to replace Lewandowski.

According to Sport, Barcelona was interested in the Egypt forward while he was at Eintracht Frankfurt before City swooped in and signed him for £67 million last January.
