Vincent Kompany Delivers An Update On Nicolas Jackson As Chelsea Fired Blurry Transfer Message

Chelsea striker  anticipated to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, despite Bayern Munich included an obligation-to-buy clause in the loan agreement in September 2025.

Jackson made 22 appearances for the German giants in all competitions this season, but he has only played 650 minutes. The Senegal international appears to have slid farther down the pecking order, spending an increasing amount of time on the bench.

Kompany told reporters on Saturday evening, following a 3-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, that he is very delighted with Jackson. The Blues loanee saw no action.

“We enjoy having Nicolas Jackson with us,” the Bayern manager added, as reported by Goal. “Any decision about the summer will be discussed with Nicolas and the clubs. I don’t have an answer right now. The only thing I know is that we’re thrilled to have him.

According to London, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have agreed on a package of more than £70 million. The Bundesliga winners paid £14.2 million to sign Jackson on loan for the season, with an option to pay an additional £56.2 million for his services permanently if certain requirements were met.

Bayern had initially agreed to sign the Senegalese star on a season-long loan, with the option to buy. However, the Blues withdrew after Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury against Fulham, just hours before the summer transfer window deadline.

In an attempt to salvage a deal, Ali Barat and the rest of Jackson’s entourage remained in Munich. Then, at the last minute, the German giants decided to sign the striker on loan under fresh circumstances.
