UCL: Yamal Steals The Show In Champions League Draw

Lamine Yamal is already changing the course of Champions League history, reports Gulf News.

In a thrilling 3-3 semi-final tie, the teenage wonder who made his 100th game for Barcelona scored a solo goal that surprised Inter Milan and rekindled Barça’s European ambition.

Like he had been doing it for ten years, Lamine Yamal took up the ball close to the halfway line, twisted past one defender, sailed past another, and curled it into the net.

“A phenomenon that emerges once every fifty years”

“Yamal is undoubtedly the kind of talent that comes around once every 50 years. I’ve never really seen talents like this before,” Simone Inzaghi, the coach of Inter, stated.

Inzaghi claimed that after Yamal’s spectacular start, Inter purposefully kept him quieter for portions of the second half.

“We made a change. We have to improve on Yamal, which is not easy,” he continued.

With incredible goals from Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries, the Italian team quickly took a two-goal lead.

However, the irrepressible Yamal brought Barça back into the match.

Ferran Torres tied the score for the five-time winners, and even though Inter took a narrow lead again through Dumfries, the match was still tied at the half thanks to an own goal by Yann Sommer.
