Tottenham Remain Keen On Signing Randal Kolo Muani

Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain misfit Randal Kolo Muani, according to transfer journalist Graeme Bailey.

Spurs paid a club record price to get Dominic Solanke from AFC Bournemouth last summer, but he struggled in the Premier League last season, scoring nine goals and assisting three times in 27 games.

Richarlison was the Lilywhites’ previous record signing, but he hasn’t had a fantastic experience at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Brazilian has struggled with fitness and serves as Solanke’s deputy.

So, possibly new manager Thomas Frank is eager to strengthen this position. According to Bailey on TBR Football, Tottenham has a long-term interest in Kolo Muani, having attempted to acquire him in January but the midfielder instead chose to transfer to Juventus on loan from PSG.

Les Parisiens are ready to cash in on him permanently this summer for roughly £43 million and have been in talks with the Bianconeri because the player prefers to stay at Allianz Stadium.

However, the Italian giants are unwilling to purchase him. Instead, they want him on another loan with the option of making the transfer permanent next summer. However, PSG will only let him join Juventus if they make it an obligation.

If PSG and Juventus fail to reach an agreement, Kolo Muani will be open to transferring elsewhere, possibly to the Premier League. Tottenham are still interested in him, and the player’s intermediaries have spoken with the Lilywhites about the deal.

Apart from the North London club, they have also contacted Manchester United and Aston Villa to inform them about the player’s position.

Kolo Muani moved to PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt for a large sum of money, but he struggled to adjust to Parc des Princes. However, he showed glimpses of his abilities at Juventus last season, contributing 13 goals in all competitions.

The 26-year-old is still young and in the prime of his career. As a result, he might be a wise addition to the North London club if they are able to obtain his services during the transfer window.
