Tottenham Hotspur Eye Move For Real Madrid Star Rodrygo

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a potential January approach for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo.

The Brazilian has struggled for minutes under Xabi Alonso this season, starting just three matches and totalling 327 minutes overall.

Rodrygo now finds himself behind youngsters Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler, a surprising drop considering his previous importance to Madrid.

Sources claim intermediaries have contacted several clubs, including Tottenham, to gauge interest ahead of the winter transfer window, reports EPL Index.

While Alonso is not actively pushing the forward out, his reduced role is unlikely to change in the coming months.

Rodrygo, 24, is reportedly assessing his long-term future, with Tottenham and other top European clubs keeping close watch.

The London side explored a summer move and remain attentive, viewing him as a potential game-changer for their forward line.

However, his £345,000 weekly wages and contract until 2028 make any January deal financially challenging for Spurs.

Rodrygo has scored 68 goals and provided 53 assists in 281 appearances for Madrid, earning praise from Luka Modric as “world-class.”

Tottenham’s strong league position could fuel an ambitious pursuit, though balancing the squad and wage structure remains crucial.
