Departing Bayern Munich hero Thomas Muller has responded to renewed reports that he may want to continue his career with long-term admirers Manchester United, while the veteran player has advised Liverpool what to expect from British record signing Florian Wirtz.
The Red Devils have long been interested in the 35-year-old attacker, who has spent his whole career with the German giants, where Muller has 755 appearances and 250 goals in a 17-year career in the first team, as well as 33 major honors.
However, when the Bundesliga heavyweights declined to extend his contract for another season, Muller is now free to join any club he wants – without paying a fee.

Muller was frequently connected with Manchester United during the reign of Louis van Gaal, who had worked with him at the Allianz Arena, and there will always be the notion that he was the one who slipped through the cracks for the club.
There have been significant rumours, however, that Muller might still make the long-awaited move to Old Trafford this summer, as the experienced 131-cap Germany player considers one final professional swansong.
While it has been anticipated that he may announce his retirement, Muller has responded hilariously to reports that a move to Ruben Amorim’s side is in the works.
“Yeah, I considered it,” Muller said CBS Sports when questioned about the historical connections.
“There were some moments I thought it would be nice to experience it.” Muller was asked if a move to United ‘looked appealing’ and his response caught the eye. “Many times,” he stated, before asking: “Or do you mean now?” He quickly dismissed any suggestions of a move, saying:
