Ten Hag Plans Man United ‘Revenge’ With Premier League Return On The Cards

Erik ten Hag is reportedly planning “revenge” as Wolves manager after receiving an opportunity to return to the Premier League.

Following Vitor Pereira’s dismissal, Wolves are looking for a new head coach. Despite the fact that talks with Gary O’Neil were going well, t he manager ruled himself out of a spectacular return to Molineux.

According to reports in the Netherlands, Ten Hag, a former manager of Manchester United, is being considered for the position after negotiations with O’Neil broke down.

Ten Hag is no longer in command of Bayer Leverkusen following an embarrassing two-month tenure during which he was fired three games into a two-year deal.

The former Ajax manager’s brand is in shambles after two years at Old Trafford, which resulted in two domestic cup victories but turgid performances.

Ten Hag has reportedly been contacted by Wolves over their managerial opening, according to Dutch publication AD as cited by The Evening Standard. The coach is open to the possibility but is mindful of the risks.

According to the report, it is currently anticipated that Ten Hag would take over as manager of Wolves.

“Erik ten Hag is … expected to replace the sacked Vitor Pereira,” AD report.

They add: “The English club contacted the Dutchman’s management on Monday. [Ten Hag] is still considering his immediate future and has more options.

“After his lightning dismissal at Leverkusen, the coach is finally looking for revenge, but the risk of failure at Wolves is apparently high [as] the club has only earned two points in the Premier League.”
