Slot Told To Drop ‘Disgraceful’ Star Or Face Sack After Liverpool Meltdown

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has been handed a blunt warning from former Reds midfielder Dietmar Hamann, who insists the Dutchman must drop Mohamed Salah if he wants to keep his job.

The reigning Premier League champions suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven at Anfield, their third straight loss by three goals and their ninth defeat in 12 matches.

It is Liverpool’s worst run of form in more than 70 years.

Fans voiced their anger loudly, booing the team off after another chaotic performance.

Slot, who lifted the title just months ago, is now facing major scrutiny despite a record £450million summer spending spree.

Hamann believes the manager cannot survive this slump if he continues to rely on Salah, who has endured a dramatic dip in form.

Once Liverpool’s talisman, the Egyptian has looked a shadow of his former self this season.

Hamann Slams Salah’s ‘Disgraceful’ Effort

Hamann told RTE Sport that Slot must make ruthless decisions, even involving senior stars.

He argued that Salah should have been among the first dropped, warning: “Do you get the sack with Salah, or keep your job without him?”

The ex-Liverpool midfielder was especially furious with Salah’s defending for PSV’s second goal, calling it “disgraceful” and accusing him of offering no help to the team.

While Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate have also come under fire for individual errors, Hamann insisted Salah’s lack of effort was unacceptable, reports Talk Sport.

Slot, meanwhile, admitted post-match that questions over his future are “normal” given Liverpool’s alarming collapse.
