Liverpool head coach, Arne Slot has reportedly confirmed he will hold talks with Mohamed Salah today about whether he is going to be involved in the Reds’ clash with Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
The 33-year-old Reds star claimed that his relationship with the Dutch manager had collapsed and that he had been “thrown under the bus” by the team following last Saturday’s 3-3 draw against Leeds United.
The Egyptian winger was left out of the squad for Tuesday’s Champions League 1-0 victory at Inter Milan due to his tirade.
Slot And Salah To Hold Talks
According to the Daily Star, while speaking at a press conference today, Slot said: “I have no reasons not to want him to stay.”
He told the media: “I will have a conversation with Mo this morning. The outcome of that conversation determines how things will look [on Saturday].”

Liverpool will face Brighton at Anfield on Saturday at 3 p.m. in an attempt to maintain a four-game unbeaten streak across all competitions while also recovering from two straight Premier League draws that have dropped the defending champions to a pitiful 10th place in the standings.
Previewing the game and addressing Salah’s future, Slot said: “What I need is a conversation with him and the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here.
“There’s not much more I can say. I speak to him today and the outcome determines how things will look tomorrow.”
In two of Liverpool’s last three Premier League games, Salah—who has 250 goals in 420 appearances for the Merseyside giants—has not been used as a substitute.
His most recent appearance was as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland on December 3. While his last start came on November 26 in the team’s 4-1 Champions League loss at home to PSV Eindhoven.
