Sir Jim Ratcliffe Is Talking ‘Nonsense’ – Sir Alex Ferguson Would Say The Exact Opposite

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of Manchester United, has been accused of ‘perpetuating falsehoods’ about immigration after declaring that ‘the UK has been invaded by foreigners’. Sir Jim acquired a minority stake in Manchester United in late 2023, and his Ineos firm has subsequently taken over football operations.

However, in an interview with Sky News aired on Wednesday evening, the United CEO stated that lawmakers must ‘do some painful things with the UK to get it back on track’. He stated, “You can’t have an economy with nine million people on benefits and large numbers of immigrants pouring in.

“I mean, the United Kingdom is being colonised. It’s too expensive. Immigrants colonised the United Kingdom.”

Before he added: “If you really want to deal with the major issues of immigration, with people opting to take benefits rather than working for a living, if you want to deal with that, then you are going to have to do some things which are unpopular and show some courage.”

Ged Grebby, CEO of Show Racism the Red Card, responded to Sir Jim’s accusations, telling the Mirror that famous United manager Sir Alex Ferguson would never make such a statement.

He said: “I couldn’t agree more with the people who have commented on the hypocrisy of these remarks, coming from a man who lives in Monaco as a tax exile.

“There’s also his lack of understanding of immigration policy. According to research, the vast majority of immigrants are young individuals who work and contribute to the economy in order to improve their own lives.

“It’s disheartening; Manchester United is one of the finest clubs in ‘Show Racism the Red Card’. Yet the owner makes such cheap statements.
