Roma are reportedly edging closer to a move for Chelsea forward, Tyrique George on a permanent transfer.
According to Football Italia, the Giallorossi’s move for the Blues youngster came as a result of a difficulty in completing the deal for Jadon Sancho from Manchester United.
The Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Roma will lure George to the Italian capital for a rumored €21–22 million, and a lower wage which is a lot less than that of United outcast Sancho was looking for.
At first, there was some misunderstanding on whether a deal for George would be permanent or on a loan basis, but Gazzetta is now saying that it would be a formal, permanent transfer.

Roma Aim To Add More Players Before The End Of Summer Window
In an effort to provide new head coach Gian Piero Gasperini with a competitive squad for his first season in Rome, Roma are still adding a number of gifted young players to their roster.
19-year-old George, who is regarded as one of Chelsea’s best promising talents, played 26 games across all competitions last season and was a key member of the Blues’ rotated team that won the UEFA Conference League with ease.
The Blues are still looking to get several players off their books with Nicolas Jackson, Ben Chilwell, and Christopher Nkunku among the stars to be shown the exit door.
