One of the main topics of discussion during the January transfer window could involve Antoine Semenyo’s future.
The attacker had an incredible start to the Premier League season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in Bournemouth’s first six games.
Two of those came on the opening night against Liverpool, when the Cherries overcame a two-goal deficit to level the score at Anfield before losing 4-2 in the closing minutes.
Despite the fact that Semenyo, 25, hasn’t assisted or scored since the beginning of October, there is still interest in him.

The Ghana international’s £65 million release clause was revealed on Monday, adding to the already-simmering rumors over his future.
Semenyo reportedly signed a new deal with Bournemouth in July that would keep him on the south coast until 2030.
However, the Cherries’ resolve may be put to the test this winter by Manchester United and Liverpool, with Tottenham also being mentioned.
Bournemouth must acknowledge reality even if they are by no means pushovers.
His £65 million release clause and Bournemouth’s acknowledgement that a departure would occur in just over six weeks were first reported by The Athletic.
Notably, in order to give Bournemouth a few weeks to identify a replacement, the potential buyer—which might be any home or club abroad —must activate the clause by a certain date.
Man United In Talks
According to reports, Old Trafford executives Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox had discussions with Bournemouth, and United were prepared to pay £55 million.
However, according to The Transfers Podcast, Semenyo turned down their advances after learning that United planned to give him a lower salary than their other targets.
Liverpool’s Position
The 25-year-old, who moved from Bristol City to Bournemouth for £10 million in 2023, is believed to be watched by Liverpool.
On paper, Semenyo might struggle to secure a spot in Arne Slot’s squad. Although his performance this season indicates that a ready-made goal scorer would be just what the Reds need.
