Salah Slammed As One Star Blamed For ‘Horrible’ Loss To Wolves – ‘My Biggest Concern’

Mohamed Salah Liverpool’s star player has been chastised for his involvement in his team’s humiliating 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

The Reds suffered their ninth Premier League defeat of the 2025/26 season on Tuesday night, with Andre’s late goal securing Wolves’ 2-1 victory at Molineux.

Salah’s equaliser cancelled out Rodrigo Gomes’ opener, but Andre’s deflected effort won it for Wolves, ending Liverpool’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

Liverpool contributed to their own demise by winning, with analyst Stephen Warnock blaming Curtis Jones for carelessly handing the ball away in his own half.

“It was a mistake by Curtis Jones,” Warnock stated.

“He plays a ball into Alisson, and Alisson will never get a grip on it. It puts the goalkeeper in a horrible position.

He went further: “Andre looked heavy in the last five or so minutes, but he takes a shot and it takes a wicked deflection to loop over Alisson.”

Despite scoring, Salah once again deceived Liverpool, earning a 5/10 rating from GOAL.

They said this about Salah: “Pounced on Bellegarde’s poor pass to draw Liverpool level with an outside-of-the-boot finish (that Sa probably should have saved), but don’t let the goal fool you.”

“Salah was once again poor for almost the entire match and butchered one glorious breakaway shortly after scoring.”

Former Liverpool player Steve Nicol also believes Salah was underwhelming against Wolves. He claims the forward was fortunate with his goal and “didn’t contribute anything” else.

“Dominating the ball and doing something with it and creating chances and scoring goals are two different things,” Nicol claimed on ESPN.
