Saka Set For A Month Out Following Hamstring Injury

Saka Set For A Month Out Following Hamstring Injury

Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka is reportedly for a month on the sidelines following a hamstring injury he sustained against Leeds United over the weekend.

Saka’s substitution during the second half of the Gunners’ 5-0 Premier League triumph over Leeds at the Emirates on Saturday raised concerns.

The England international missed footballing action for three and a half month last season following surgery on his right hamstring. After he hobbled off with a left hamstring injury, there was concern that he could miss a similar amount of time.

According to The Independent, Saka is expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks though the 23-year-old’s early signs are encouraging, especially considering his extended absence from action last season.

In addition to missing Arsenal’s trip to Anfield to play reigning champions Liverpool on Sunday, he is also anticipated to miss England’s September World Cup qualifying matches against Andorra and Serbia.

Odegaard Is Also Likely To Miss Liverpool Clash

Captain Martin Odegaard, who was also substituted in the victory over Leeds after suffering an unfortunate tumble on his right shoulder, is also expected to be absent for Mikel Arteta’s team’s match against Liverpool.

It is thought that Odegaard left the Emirates with his arm in a sling after he was substituted in the first half.

The good news for Arteta’s title-chasing team is that, like Saka, it is not anticipated that the Norway international will miss a significant amount of action.
