Manchester United will look to extend their unbeaten streak to six games when they host Everton at Old Trafford.
Despite the club’s worst Premier League start ever, Ruben Amorim’s side has improved significantly since their last loss in September. Admittedly, two 2-2 draws against Tottenham and Nottingham Forest just before the international break were not exactly heartwarming, especially after a streak of great wins over Brighton, Liverpool, and Sunderland.
Nonetheless, United is currently eighth, just two points behind third-placed Chelsea. A win on Monday might send them into the Champions League for the first time since August 2024, depending on other results. They’ll be confident, given their previous success versus Everton.
Although the most recent meeting between the teams finished in a stalemate in February, United had won the previous six, with their most recent defeat to the Toffees coming in April 2022. Here’s the most recent news from Old Trafford.

Verdict obtained on Wharton
Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand are in agreement on Adam Wharton, the Crystal Palace midfielder who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, according to the Mirror.
According to reports, Wharton is a top transfer target for United, and the club is mulling a move in 2026. The 21-year-old has been absolutely brilliant since arriving at Selhurst Park last season, and he is now a full England international, having been named in Sunday’s 2-0 victory against Albania.
His serenity, drive, and football intellect have garnered him high praise, but his passion to thread forward passes has particularly piqued the interest of United icons Keane and Ferdinand.
“I do like Adam Wharton,” Keane said after England’s weekend victory. “A lot of the modern midfielders, their first option seems to be, ‘Can I go sideways or backwards?.
“What I admire about him is that the first choice he seems to consider is, ‘Can I pass it on?’ and that’s a great strength to have. If he continues to play at the highest level, he will be able to mature in the following year or two.
“Put demands on individuals. Shout to the players, ‘Give me the ball!’ That’s what I used to do; I had frequent disagreements with others. ‘Give me the ball!’ Make demands on your teammates.
