Real Madrid hold a strong advantage in their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie after defeating Manchester City 3-0 in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Despite the heavy defeat, Rodri insisted City still believe a comeback is possible when the two sides meet again at the Etihad Stadium.
The midfielder admitted the result was frustrating, especially because City struggled to convert their chances during the match in Madrid.
Rodri avoids transfer talk while focusing on Manchester City
When asked about speculation linking him with a summer move to Real Madrid, Rodri chose not to discuss his future.
Instead, the Spanish international explained that his priority remains helping Manchester City during the current season before thinking about potential transfers later.
Rodri also reflected on his difficult recovery after suffering a serious knee injury during a match against Arsenal in September 2024.
The midfielder tore his anterior cruciate ligament and spent several months working his way back to full fitness, reports Football Espana.
Now back on the pitch, Rodri said he feels increasingly confident with every match.
Although Manchester City have faced challenges this season, the midfielder remains optimistic that the team can improve and create more scoring opportunities in upcoming fixtures.
