A football referee in Bosnia has been arrested after allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend inside a cafe bathroom following a terrifying chase.
Aldina Jahić was reportedly ambushed on her way to the gym, forcing her to run into a nearby cafe to seek help quickly.
Before police arrived, the referee Anis Kalajdžić allegedly caught her, fired a single pistol shot, and left her dead instantly.
Authorities believe he then attempted to take his own life, but the gun jammed, allowing officers to arrest him at the scene.

Local media report he acquired and registered the pistol a month earlier, supposedly for protection after receiving threats as a referee.
Domestic Violence Concerns in Sport
Investigators suspect the killing was premeditated, especially as Aldina had reportedly received earlier threats she never formally reported to authorities.
The tragedy highlights dangerous domestic-violence problems linked to sporting environments, where personal conflicts sometimes escalate into serious violence.
Friends described Aldina as a highly skilled event director and respected academic collaborator who inspired colleagues across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Her mentor, economist Admir Čavalić, paid emotional tribute, calling her a brilliant organiser, strong thinker, and dedicated student over many years, reports Daily Star.
He praised her international experience, leadership qualities, and confidence, expressing heartbreak that such a talented individual died under such violent circumstances.
