The purpose of the American visit was to examine the security strategy implemented by the authorities during the Africa Cup of Nations.
In this instance, the main goal was to collect data on the management of international fan entry and the collaboration between foreign police officers working on the scene and national security agents. The Moroccan publication Le360 as reported by Sports Mole is the source of the information.
According to the report, the FBI planned to remain on Moroccan territory from January 4th to January 6th, or until Tuesday.
The delegation also assessed Morocco’s security systems when Morocco played Tanzania on Sunday, the 4th, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium. The hosts won the round of 16 match 1-0.
On that occasion, the department devoted closer attention to security team deployment tactics, surveillance systems, drones, cameras and electronic communication and coordination methods, according to the outlet.
