Dani Ceballos is once again among the names circulating on the transfer market. His future at Real Madrid remains uncertain, as it has in previous summers, and Real Betis is constantly following the situation.
A return to his former club is complicated, owing mostly to Real Madrid’s demands and the player’s salary.
Real Madrid wants €15 million.
Indeed, according to AS, Real Betis is only proposing €5 million for Ceballos, while Real Madrid is asking for €15 million to let him go.
The Spanish midfielder is not in the plans of manager Xabi Alonso, who played him little at the FIFA Club World Cup after taking over from Carlo Ancelotti.
Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, and Arda Guler, who is now considered a midfielder, all rank ahead of Ceballos in the pecking order.
So, despite Luka Modric’s departure, he is unlikely to see regular game time, making an exit a real possibility.

Real Betis has surfaced as a prospective destination, although there is a significant difference between what they are providing (€5 million) and what Real Madrid expects (€15 million).
While on vacation, Ceballos wrote on Instagram: “Nothing gives more peace of mind than saying, ‘I tried everything.'”
According to the report, this communication may pertain to his efforts to win a transfer to Betis. The midfielder, for his part, is willing to cut his earnings in order to return, but the disparity between the price demanded and offered remains a barrier.
Ceballos deleted his message a few hours later after seeing the response it received on social media.
Just a few days ago, the Real Madrid player publicly expressed his desire to return to Betis someday.
