Real Madrid is once again keeping an eye on one of Germany’s most promising young forwards, with new reports indicating the club’s rising interest in Christian Kofane.
According to Sky Germany‘s Patrick Berger, the Spanish giants are particularly interested in the 19-year-old striker, who is currently impressing at Bayer Leverkusen.
Kofane’s ascent has not gone unnoticed in Madrid, as the Cameroonian international only joined Leverkusen last summer, signing from Albacete for €5.25 million.
However, his progress has been swift, and Real Madrid is now considering another move, this time for the first squad rather than Real Madrid Castilla.
Not a new interest.
It is important to note that this is not a new story.
Prior to his departure to Germany, Real Madrid attempted to recruit Kofane for Castilla, but Bayer Leverkusen stepped in and finalized the deal.
Despite missing out back then, Madrid has kept him on their radar and sees him as a long-term alternative for the attack.

For the time being, however, any immediate move is out of the question, since one major point emphasized in the article is that Kofane will be unavailable throughout the winter transfer window.
Leverkusen have no intention of selling him in the middle of the season, especially given his rising importance to the team.
Furthermore, if Real Madrid decides to make a serious offer, the price will approach €50 million.
Impressing in Germany.
On the pitch, the 19-year-old centre-forward has already appeared in 23 competitive games for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring five goals and assisting five times.
These efforts, combined with his physical stature and ability to link play, have cemented his status as one of Europe’s most promising young strikers.
His current deal expires in 2029, so translating Real Madrid’s infatuation into action will take time and a lot of money.
