Real Madrid Sign Young Striker On Loan Amid Xabi Alonso Exit

Real Madrid have made a loan signing for their youth setup, just days after Xabi Alonso’s departure as first-team coach.

Alonso left the club by mutual agreement following Real Madrid’s 3-2 Spanish Super Cup final defeat to Barcelona.

Ávaro Arbeloa has taken temporary charge of the senior squad, starting with the upcoming Copa del Rey match against Levante.

Despite the coaching upheaval, the club has continued to strengthen its youth teams during the January transfer window.

According to MARCA journalist Matteo Moretto, 18-year-old striker Adrian Arnu has joined Real Madrid on loan from La Liga 2 side Real Valladolid.

Arnu was promoted to Valladolid’s first team at the start of the season but saw limited playing time. Real Madrid believe he has potential and will monitor his progress during the loan spell.

Focus on Castilla and Youth Development

Arnu will join the Castilla squad under current coach Julián López de Lerma, rather than linking up with Arbeloa, who is managing the first team temporarily.

This is Real Madrid’s second January addition for their academy, following the signing of highly-rated 17-year-old defender Guille González from Cádiz, reports SI.

The club continues to prioritize youth development, as seen in their 5-1 victory over Real Betis earlier this season, where all three scorers came from the academy, including hat-trick hero Gonzalo García.

As of now, a senior squad signing for January appears unlikely, with focus remaining on nurturing future stars.

Real Madrid aim to give Arnu and other young talents the platform to impress, potentially leading to permanent deals in the near future.
