Real Madrid has consistently dominated the UEFA Champions League, and the club’s legacy as the sport’s largest institution owes much to that metric.
Los Blancos have consistently performed well in Europe, regardless of their home form, and their 15 titles in the competition put them out of reach and sight of any competitors.
While no single number can accurately reflect how dominant a club has been in the tournament, UEFA Club Rankings do a better job than other metrics.
Needless to say, the men in white have been in the number 1 position for most of the recent past.
According to UEFA’s official website, Real Madrid remains number one in the club rankings heading into the new season, despite their rather dismal performance previous season.

The men in white scored 30, 29, 34, and 24.5 points in the 2021-22, 22-23, 23-24, and 24-25 seasons, respectively, bringing their total to 117.5, with the future season counting as the fifth season with zero points.
Bayern Munich is their closest competition, with 108.25 points, while Inter Milan is third with 107.25. Barcelona is the closest Spanish team, sitting in ninth place with 83.25 points.
The weakest moment in Real Madrid’s five-year point record comes from last season, when they lost in the quarterfinals to Arsenal.
With new recruits and a new manager, they will hope to improve their progression and return to their customary form in the Premier League this season.
