Real Madrid is willing to spend up to €90 million to sign Alexis Mac Allister of Liverpool because they see the Argentine international as Luka Modric’s ideal replacement.
With Toni Kroos retired and Modric anticipated to depart at the end of the current campaign, the team feels it is imperative to acquire a player who can combine technical skill, experience, and the capacity to perform at the highest level.
Mac Allister has long been on Real Madrid’s radar.

During Carlo Ancelotti’s previous tenure at the club, the midfielder, then playing for Brighton and Hove Albion, was seen as a key addition to preserve balance and creativity in the midfield.
However, the player was able to move to Liverpool because those early discussions did not result in an agreement.
Since joining Anfield, Mac Allister has established himself as one of the Premier League team’s most reliable and adaptable midfield players.
He contributes to both their attacking and defensive schemes.
Now that Xabi Alonso will be taking over at Real Madrid for the upcoming campaign, the team has redoubled their efforts to sign the Argentine, reports Madrid Universal.
The former Real Madrid midfielder-turned-coach believes Mac would be a perfect addition to the young midfield core of Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, and Aurelien Tchouameni.
