Real Madrid are reportedly planning to hijack Liverpool’s move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, Florian Wirtz and are looking to make use of Xabi Alonso to pull the deal.
Florian Wirtz has already reached a personal agreement with Liverpool, who hope to make him their record signing. At first, it appeared that Wirtz would join Bayern Munich, as Manchester City were also interested.
City, however, withdrew from the competition after objecting to the related costs. Wirtz’s decision to pick Liverpool over the Bundesliga’s top team left Bayern in disbelief.
According to reports, a five-year deal has been reached, and Wirtz will start out as one of Liverpool’s highest paid players.

Now, the focus is on negotiating a club-to-club deal with Bayer Leverkusen. In that regard, Liverpool made their first formal offer at the beginning of the week, which was valued at over €100 million, including add-ons.

According to AS as reported by Team Talk, Real Madrid might bring Wirtz to the Bernabeu, dealing Liverpool even another devastating blow. One important person, Alonso, was mentioned in order to explain how they plan to accomplish that goal.
Alonso succeeded Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid’s new manager. The Spaniard helped in molding Wirtz into the potent midfielder he has become while at Leverkusen.
