According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid is closely monitoring Valencia’s gifted midfielder Javi Guerra.
The 22-year-old has emerged as one of Spain’s most promising young midfielders, and Real Madrid’s scouting department has taken note of his development.
Los Blancos are known to want to bolster their Spanish core, something Florentino Perez has prioritised in recent transfer windows.
This summer alone, the club welcomed young Spanish players Gonzalo Garcia, Dean Huijsen, and Alvaro Carreras into the first-team squad, indicating a renewed emphasis on local talent.
Adding Guerra would maintain this trend and provide another long-term option in midfield. Reported By Madridunivesal.
Guerra recently renewed his contract with Valencia until 2029, indicating the club’s desire to keep him as a key role in the future. However, financial issues at Mestalla may open the door to discussions.
His release clause is set at €100 million, but Valencia is expected to accept a fee around half that amount.
Midfield Plans for 2026
At this point, Real Madrid’s top scout, Juni Calafat, has just directed his squad to closely study Guerra’s improvement during the season.

A final decision on whether to sign him is not expected until 2026, with much riding on the situation with Dani Ceballos, whose future at the club is uncertain.
Real Madrid is already planning its 2026 transfer strategy, with midfield additions regarded as a priority.
Along with Guerra, the club has been linked with Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller.
However, it looks that final selections will be taken around the end of the 2025/26 season, when performances, squad needs, and contractual situations have been thoroughly examined.
For the time being, Guerra’s progress at Valencia will be closely monitored, with Real Madrid assessing whether he can become the next Spanish star to wear the famed white shirt.
