Real Madrid Identify Vinicius Replacement Amid Saudi Bid Rumours

Real Madrid have reportedly decided on the “dream” attacker they want to sign if they accept a Saudi Arabian club’s bid for Vinicius Junior.

Although, a nasty surprise could be in store when they finally make their move.

For months, Saudi Pro League clubs have been monitoring the Brazilian. There have been rumors of a whopping €1 billion (£870 million or $117 billion) in salary for the player per season, as well as a €350 million (£304 million or $409 million) transfer fee for Real Madrid.

Although Los Blancos are reportedly aware of the Middle Eastern interest, no club in Saudi Arabia have yet to make a firm bid to lure Vinicius.

According to a recent report by Spanish outlet SER as reported by Team Talk, Real Madrid will finally try to sign long-term target Erling Haaland and pair the current Manchester City player with Kylian Mbappe in a “dream attack” for new manager Xabi Alonso.

This is despite the fact that it could be argued that the Norwegian isn’t a truly like-for-like replacement for Vinicius.

Even though Haaland only signed a long new contract at The Etihad six months ago, he is thought to be the ideal choice to lead Perez’s vision.

In fact, the Norwegian striker’s new contract will keep him playing until the summer of 2034.

The 25-year-old’s massive new contract with City also nullified a prior release clause, greatly lowering the risk that any suitors would activate such clauses giving Etihad officials the freedom to demand any price they want for the player.
