According to many reports, Alvarez is the mysterious player Florentino Perez mentioned when he guaranteed a €150 million deal this summer.

According to Gianluigi Longari, Real Madrid has a €150 million bid ready for Atletico Madrid as they seek to recruit Julian Alvarez.

This is a huge development, as Real Madrid was not even a candidate to sign the Argentine international just two weeks ago.
The tables appear to have turned, with different sources saying that Atletico Madrid now sees Real Madrid as their major rival, as they seek to retain Alvarez.
Barcelona is clearly unable to compete financially with Real Madrid, let alone make an offer of €150 million.
However, the Catalans have an edge when it comes to the player himself. Longari claims that despite interest from Real Madrid, Alvarez remains interested in joining Barcelona.
It’s no secret that the former Manchester City prodigy has long desired a move to Camp Nou. With that in mind, it is not unexpected that he will wait for Barcelona before making a decision on his future.
However, time is running out, and Barça must decide quickly if they are to launch an official bid for Alvarez. The only bright spot for the time being is Alvarez’s desire to play at Camp Nou.
