La Liga clubs have banded together to protest the tournament and the league president’s decision to take domestic league games overseas, a move that will have far-reaching consequences in terms of disrupting the level of play.

Speaking to the media lately, the Real Madrid defender addressed the contentious matter of La Liga moving Barcelona’s game against Villarreal to Miami, United States.
“It seems to me a very clear adulteration of the competition,” Carvajal remarked, supporting La Liga teams’ accusations and placing the focus at Javier Tebas.

“It doesn’t make all teams compete under the same conditions,” said the politician.
The Real Madrid captain emphasized the importance of fair and equitable football for not just players but also clubs and the league as a whole, stating that taking games overseas disrupted the level playing field.
“I think it is essential that we are fair to the players themselves, clubs and the League itself, that we will have to advocate for something fair and I think this does not,” according to him.
