Rashford Transfer Value Drops Amid Man United And Barcelona Agreement

Marcus Rashford has had a successful stint at Barcelona since his high-profile summer transfer, but his transfer value is still decreasing.

After his loan stint at Aston Villa, Rashford told United that he wanted to leave the team during the summer transfer window.

This request was approved after a n agreement was struck with Barcelona who were the England player’s preferred destination.

In order to get Rashford to Catalonia on loan, Barca agreed to pay him his whole wage. The England international might also be permanently signed by Hansi Flick’s team next summer for a reported £26.2 million.

Rashford has done well since joining La Liga, scoring three goals and dishing out five assists in ten games, including a brace against Newcastle in the Champions League. His transfer worth is still declining, though, despite his strong start to the season.

According to Transfermarkt, Rashford is only worth £34.72 million as of last week. Since he was a teenager in 2017, the forward has never seen his price go below £43.4 million.

He was only worth a little over £26 million at the time, but in a year, his worth would soar. In 2021, Rashford’s transfer value reached its highest point at an astounding £73.77 million.

Even while his value still exceeds what United would receive if he were to sign a permanent contract with Barcelona at the conclusion of this season, the Reds have little chance of obtaining a higher price.

Rashford will have two years left on his contract after the La Liga loan, and as he has already stated that he wants to move on, United have very little leverage to negotiate a higher fee.
