Marcus Rashford has been handling media responsibilities for the first time since joining Barcelona on loan from Manchester United during the past week.
Following his detailed examination of the cultural differences between Spanish and English football, Rashford has now provided an inside look at a few of his teammates.
In an interview with Sport as quoted by Football Espana, Rashford referred to Jules Kounde as the best-dressed player and Gavi as the dressing room joker.
In addition to stating that United would be wise to consider rebuilding their team by looking at Liverpool, he rated Virgil van Dijk as the toughest defender he ever played against.
He also stated that Barcelona and he were working to win every title that is within their reach this season and that he would award the Ballon d’Or to either Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, or Ousmane Dembele.
Rashford Named De Jong As Barca’s Most Underrated Player
Rashford chose midfield partner Frenkie de Jong as the most underrated player when asked. Other teammates have previously selected the Dutchman as one of the top players during training.
“It’s difficult, everyone is very good. But for what he does for the team, I think Frenkie.”
Since his arrival, Rashford has been gushing over Pedri, saying that the 22-year-old played the game at his own pace.
“If you didn’t know his age, you’d think he was 28 or 29 because he’s very mature and understands the game perfectly. He plays at his own pace, and that makes it easy for strikers to keep up with him.”
