Rashford Credits Aston Villa Loan For Career Revival

Marcus Rashford has credited his loan move to Aston Villa as the turning point in getting his career back on track.

The England forward joined Villa from Manchester United in January, scoring four goals in 17 appearances under manager Unai Emery.

Although Villa had a £40 million option to buy, missing out on Champions League qualification ended any chance of a permanent transfer.

Rashford has now joined Barcelona on loan for the new season but speaks fondly of his short spell in Birmingham.

He described the move as “exactly what I needed” after being frozen out at United by manager Ruben Amorim last year.

Rashford highlighted the positive environment at Villa and the warm reception from fans as crucial to rebuilding his confidence.

A Fresh Start Ahead Of Barcelona Loan

The striker admitted that without the Villa experience, he might not be in the strong position he finds himself today, reports Express And Star.

A hamstring injury forced him to miss Villa’s final five matches, including a decisive clash against his parent club Manchester United.

Villa’s rise in recent years impressed Rashford, who praised the club’s spirit and ambition despite falling short in key moments.

Barcelona now offers him a fresh challenge, with hopes of reigniting his form on a bigger European stage this season.
