Former England star Raheem Sterling confronted a group of burglars who broke into his Berkshire home on Saturday night.
The 30-year-old Chelsea forward was preparing to watch his team’s clash against Wolves when he heard noises upstairs.
Sterling acted on instinct, ensuring his partner Paige Milian and their children Thiago and Thai Cruz were safe before responding.
Armed with a kitchen knife, the winger bravely confronted the masked intruders, forcing them to flee the property empty-handed.

A source told the Mirror that Sterling’s quick reaction, fueled by adrenaline, prevented the gang from stealing anything valuable.
Police believe the burglars assumed Sterling would be at Stamford Bridge for the evening’s Premier League fixture.
Chelsea star safe after terrifying third home break-in
This marks the third time in seven years Sterling has been targeted by burglars across different homes in Surrey and Cheshire.
A spokesperson confirmed that Sterling and his family were safe but described the incident as a violation of privacy and security.
Thames Valley Police have launched a full investigation and urged witnesses or locals with information to come forward immediately.
Chelsea have expressed full support for Sterling, ensuring he and his family receive the necessary protection and assistance, reports Express.
During the 2022 World Cup, Sterling’s Cobham residence was also raided, leading him to temporarily leave England’s Qatar squad.
That previous break-in saw an estimated £300,000 worth of jewellery and watches stolen, linked to convicted burglar Emiliano Krosi.
Authorities say the latest incident shows burglars continue to target high-profile players, despite tighter security measures.
Sterling is now working with security teams to strengthen home protection and keep his family safe from future threats.
