Achraf Hakimi, the PSG defender, has been ordered to stand trial over allegations of rape, his lawyer confirmed.
Fanny Colin stated she will appeal the judge’s decision, while the Nanterre prosecutor’s office had recommended a trial last August.

Hakimi was initially charged in March 2023 after a 24-year-old woman accused him of rape at his Paris-area home.
Preliminary charges indicate strong suspicion but allow further investigation before trial.
The defender has denied all wrongdoing, posting that he “calmly awaits” a trial where the “truth will emerge publicly,” maintaining his innocence in the matter.
Colin criticized the plaintiff’s refusal of medical and DNA tests, lack of witness disclosure, and psychological reports showing “no post-traumatic symptoms.”
Meanwhile, plaintiff lawyer Rachel-Flore Pardo welcomed the trial order, saying it is “fully consistent with the evidence in the file,” reflecting the seriousness of the case.
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique confirmed Hakimi’s legal situation will not impact his vice-captaincy, reports Daily Mail.
He added the matter is “in the hands of the justice system,” with the club focused on the upcoming Champions League playoff against AS Monaco.
The trial date is yet to be set, and Hakimi’s appeal could delay proceedings. The case has sparked debate over professional football and accountability.
