On loan Aston Villa player, Philippe Coutinho saw his interview interrupted after gunshots were heard at his latest side’s training ground.
The Brazilian, who is still nominally under contract with Villa, is currently playing on loan for Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro in the Brazilian Serie A.
After leaving Liverpool for Barcelona in 2018 for an initial £130 million, he has had a difficult time. He went on loan to Bayern Munich after only a few months of struggling to fit in, but things didn’t work out there either.
He would have a brief career comeback with Aston Villa under former Reds teammate Steven Gerrard after another loan stint, and his move was finalized as Villa paid £17 million for his services.

But things quickly took a turn for the worse, and he spent the previous season on loan at Al Duhail in Qatar before moving to Brazil for the current campaign.
If nothing is agreed upon before his contract expires at the conclusion of next season, Villa will most likely release him.
However, after his interview was interrupted by some background noise, he might now want to reconsider returning to Vasco da Gama.
The interview recording with Brazilian TV channel Globo showed Coutinho grinning as he spoke before the gunshots were heard.
The clip lasted 32 seconds with more than 20 shots heard in total.
According to Globo as cited by the Daily Mail, Moacyr Barbosa, the training facility, opened in 2020 and is close to Cidade de Deus, an area that has had a lot of violent occurrences recently.
Gunshots have been reported to be usual by club employees, who attribute the noise to high police presence in the vicinity.
