PFA Players’ Player Of The Year Nominees Revealed

Nominees for the 2024-25 Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Players’ Player of the Year award has been announced.

Champions in the Premier League champions, Liverpool have two players in the nomination list, with Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister joining Mohamed Salah who has already been named the Premier League Player of the Season, on the list.

Salah is trying to win the trophy for a record-breaking third time. Last season, he scored 29 goals and made 18 assists.

With 27 goals in 42 games last season, Alexander Isak, a forward for Newcastle United is also part of the nominees. The 25-yearold Swede helped the Magpies earn a spot in the Champions League last campaign.

Despite United’s terrible 15th place finish in the Premier League, Bruno Fernandes was nominated after leading the charts for the Red Devils with eight goals and ten assists in the previous campaign.

The final two nominees are Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice, and Cole Palmer, a playmaker for Chelsea.

Given his difficulties for Chelsea last season, Palmer—who was named the PFA Young Player of the Year for 2023–24—was a surprising selection on the list.

In 52 games in all competitions, Rice scored a career-high nine goals and provided ten assists as an Arsenal midfield dynamo.

The award winner will be revealed at a ceremony in Manchester on August 19.
