City looked in control early, but Fulham repeatedly punished their errors, forcing Guardiola’s side into a frantic finish.
Speaking after the match, the City boss praised Fulham’s intensity but quickly shifted attention to Chelsea, who he believes have become one of the league’s most dangerous challengers.
Chelsea Emerging as Major Threat
Guardiola warned that Chelsea are improving rapidly under their new system and could easily overtake City if his team loses focus.
He described Chelsea as “better every week” and “one of the strongest threats” in the title race.
He highlighted their fluid attack, aggressive pressing, and growing confidence as key reasons for concern, reports Metro.
Guardiola insisted City must tighten defensively and avoid the lapses seen against Fulham.
The thrilling victory also underlined City’s reliance on quick transitions, but Guardiola admitted they cannot keep conceding soft goals.
“If we play like this against Chelsea, it will be very difficult,” he said.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have surged up the table with consistent, dominant performances that have caught the attention of rival managers.
Their recent form has positioned them as genuine contenders.
While Manchester City remain top, Guardiola stressed that every point will matter as the season intensifies.
His message was clear: Chelsea are coming, and City cannot afford another chaotic night.
