Michael Owen has reportedly claimed that Arsenal will be Liverpool’s main rivals for the Premier League titles next season dismissing Manchester City as potential challengers for the Reds.
In what is Arne Slot’s first season as manager, Liverpool won the league title with ease. They haven’t looked back since their consistency put them in a commanding lead and their victory over Tottenham eight days ago formally crowned them champions.
It has been acknowledged that several of their competitors have faltered this season. After a terrible season, City, who have won four straight crowns, now have to contend for Champions League slots, while Arsenal have drawn too many games to challenge for the title.

Owen has dismissed Guardiola’s team’s ambitions of winning the Premier League again and does not believe they will rebound anytime soon. He therefore believes that the only team that could actually stop the Reds in a year is Arsenal.
According to The Mirror, the former Premier League striker said: “I can’t see anybody beating Liverpool next year. Manchester City are miles off it. Arsenal are possibly the only challengers for me.”
After Jurgen Klopp left, Liverpool were predicted to fall apart but Slot has surpassed all expectations, primarily with the team he inherited from the German.
With the Reds aiming for a 90-point season in the upcoming weeks, he has gotten the most from practically every player.
