Nottingham Forest have appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach, replacing Nuno Espírito Santo after his dismissal earlier this week.
Postecoglou, 60, has signed a contract until the end of next season and will immediately prepare for Saturday’s trip to Arsenal.

The Australian coach, who guided Tottenham to Europa League glory last season, was quickly identified as the top target by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Nuno was dismissed after publicly criticising the club’s hierarchy, ending his spell despite achieving a seventh-place finish last season.
Forest will now hope Postecoglou can replicate his trophy-winning pedigree and maintain the club’s European ambitions.
Marinakis Backs Postecoglou To Deliver
In a glowing statement, Marinakis hailed Postecoglou as a proven winner with the credentials to take Forest to the next level.
“We are bringing a coach with a proven and consistent record of winning trophies,” Marinakis said.
“Ange’s experience at the highest level, along with his desire to build something special, makes him the perfect person for our journey.”
Postecoglou, who has Greek heritage, was recently praised in his homeland for promoting Greece during his Tottenham success, reports Daily Mail.
Forest’s announcement made no mention of his backroom staff, though Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery, and Sergio Raimundo could rejoin him at the City Ground.
The upcoming clash against Arsenal will see Postecoglou immediately face his old rivals, adding extra intrigue to his Forest debut.
