Newcastle Eye €70m Move For Real Madrid ‘Super Striker’ Amid Ekitike Doubts

Newcastle United are reportedly preparing a €70million bid for Real Madrid striker Endrick as an alternative to Hugo Ekitike.

The 18-year-old Brazilian is highly rated, with Madrid paying Palmeiras €70million in 2022, though first-team chances remain limited.

Despite limited starts last season, Endrick impressed with seven goals and one assist in 37 appearances across all competitions for Madrid.

Newcastle had been pursuing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike but may reconsider due to his high price tag and slow progress.

Newcastle’s board is “seriously considering” Endrick instead, offering the same €70million earmarked for Ekitike’s potential transfer.

Newcastle’s interest in Endrick shows intent, but the striker is believed to prefer staying at Madrid to develop under Xabi Alonso.

Madrid’s attack includes Vinicius, Rodrygo, Mbappe, and breakout star Gonzalo Garcia, making consistent minutes for Endrick difficult next season, reports Team Talk.

Injury complications further complicate matters, as Endrick is currently recovering from a hamstring setback that could sideline him for two months.

Newcastle may be unwilling to wait for Endrick’s recovery, especially with urgent forward reinforcement needed ahead of the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Ekitike is reportedly close to joining Newcastle, with personal terms agreed and a medical expected in the coming days.
