Chelsea’s complaints about their unsuccessful pre-match meeting with Newcastle United have been branded “nonsense” by Gary Neville.
The Blues attempted to assemble all of their players at the centre circle before Saturday’s kickoff, but referee Paul Tierney foiled their plan.
Before the game, the official was in the same spot and refused to move. Neville, a former Manchester United player, offered his opinion, saying the gesture was only theatrical nevertheless.
